FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on the matter. Personal injury cases are handled on a contingency fee — you pay no attorney fee unless we win, and the percentage is confirmed in writing before we start. Family, business, and estate matters are billed at clear hourly rates (typically $250–$450/hour) or flat fees for defined work, such as a standard will package from $750. Every engagement begins with a written fee agreement in USD, so there are no surprises.

Your free consultation lasts about 30 minutes, by phone, video, or in our Boston office. We listen to your situation, review any documents you bring, explain your options in plain English, and give you an honest assessment — including whether you need a lawyer at all. There is no obligation to hire us afterward.

Bring a photo ID and anything directly related to your matter: for injury cases, the accident report, photos, and medical records; for family matters, any existing court orders and financial statements; for business matters, contracts and formation documents; for estate planning, a simple list of assets and beneficiaries. If you are unsure, bring what you have — we will tell you what else is needed.

Our office is in downtown Boston, and we serve clients throughout Greater Boston and eastern Massachusetts, including Cambridge, Brookline, Newton, Quincy, Somerville, and Waltham. Phone and video consultations are available anywhere in Massachusetts.

We respond to consultation requests within one business day, and existing clients receive a reply to calls and emails within one business day as well. For time-sensitive matters — a court deadline, an arrest, or a recent accident — call (617) 555-0148 and mention that it is urgent.
